About the Music
"A great lyricist with amazing vision! We had so much fun making this song come to life with Ed."
Collaborating with talent in LA and around the world, Ed brings all his songs to life and directs the process through his publishing and creative entity Thirsty Pen Music.
Ed’s songs spring from the story, whether in his life or from others he meets along the way. As a result, his growing catalog is an adventure fit for a variety of settings, an evocative set of songs primarily in pop and pop folk genres while shifting into country and more to best serve each one.
Originally from Massachusetts, Ed now creates from his home studio in Santa Ynez, CA following over 20 years in Los Angeles. His music is influenced by both contemporary music and favorites over the years, including such legends as James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Doors.

Featured Tracks
Ed’s songs are wrapped in emotion and charm, including some of his favorites:
“Her Heart's Wrapped In Style” was written after a chance meeting with a stunning, down-to-earth wine taster.
“Horizontal Fantasy” is about a dreamlife escape to a beach paradise.
Ed recorded his first country song “A Guitar And A Smile On My Face” with a renowned Nashville studio team.
“The Voice In The Choir” reveals most about the artist and his love of music. Ed wrote this about the beautiful, strong voice belonging to the home town church choir director. Luckily, she (his mom) played organ and piano at church as well as at home, where the family could sing along.

“Her Heart’s Wrapped In Style”

A stylish lady appeared in the doorway,
To pick-up some wine for a friend.
My eyes moved so fast they suffered whip-lash.
Note to self: Free wine for the friend.
This lady is one-in-a-million.
A reward for my waiting a while.
She broke into the vault where I was hiding my love.
Her heart’s wrapped in a magical style.
She sipped her Bordeaux on the terrace.
A small one-eyed dog in her lap.
The snapshot of this scene spoke volumes.
A preview of kind deeds on tap.
This lady is one-in-a-million.
A reward for my waiting a while.
She broke into the vault where I was hiding my love.
Her heart’s wrapped in a magical style.
She was the only guest so far that day.
I asked, “Whose genes help you to look that way?”
She said, “Maybe Mom - on the hair.”
I followed with, “What about your big heart?”
She said, I was first to ask her about that part.
Then a patron arrived inside, at the bar.
I said, “I’ll be back, just don’t go far.”
But when I returned she was gone.
Her note read: Bartender Beware.
Beware!
This lady is one-in-a million.
A reward for my waiting a while.
She broke into the vault where I was hiding my love.
Her heart’s wrapped in a magical style.
